News: Angelus U40 Racing Tourbillon Skeleton

Since the brand’s relaunch in 2015, Angelus has created some truly intriguing pieces to announce its return to the luxury watch market. The U40 Racing Tourbillon Skeleton is the latest to be unveiled in the brand’s ‘Urban Collection’, a line dedicated to the creation of exceptionally high-end sports watches.

Drawing inspiration from the high-performance engineering and design used in the world of supercars, this piece is the product of four years of research and development. The watch’s creators focussed on creating a lightweight yet highly durable piece, with a skeletonised dial strengthened with beam-type bridges and a movement secured between two plates.

As part of its commitment to precision, the watch features a one-minute flying tourbillon, which can be seen just above 6 o’clock, while the black, gold-treated balance wheel is regulated to five positions. The watch is powered by the Angelus calibre A-300, and offers an energy reserve of 60 hours.

Alternating sandblasted and polished grey finishes give the watch a sleek appeal, punctuated with sporty red highlights around the edge of the dial and picked out on the hands. The racing look of the U40 is accentuated by the contemporary black rubber strap, which features a three-dimensional design and the Angelus logo.
