News: Longines Releases NEW Limited-Edition Master Collection Watches
Autumn is upon us whether we like it or not. This means occasionally putting our cosy knitwear aside for something a little glitzier at the height of party season. And what goes hand-in-hand with your best suit and tie or evening gown? A stunning dress watch, of course.
So, if you find yourself searching for a new dress watch to impress your peers at swanky events over the coming months, then look no further than Longines. The Swiss watchmaker has just released the perfect watch for you via a series of exclusive pieces from its Master Collection to celebrate the brand’s 190th anniversary.
Longines has made sure to cater for everyone, creating a trio of stunning watches in 40mm cases coming in 18k rose or yellow gold and stainless-steel. Each watch also has an AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back with commemorative engraving, plus they’re water-resistant to 50m.
Powering these watches is the automatic Longines calibre L888.5 which features 21 jewels, 25,200 vph and an impressive power reserve of three days, as well as a silicon balance spring. The gold versions come with a matching gold rotor, too. All of which can be admired through the watches’ open casebacks.
Back to the front of the watch now, where there are a number of luxurious textures at play. That’s everything from grained anthracite to brushed grey with gilt or rose gold hands, to sandblasted silver with blued steel hands. Whatever watch and effect you go for, though, each is engraved with twelve Arabic numerals and come on an anthracite grey alligator leather strap.
Pricewise, you can expect to pay £2,050 RRP for the stainless-steel version or fork out £10,190 for the rose and yellow gold versions—although both gold models have already sold out on Longines’ website less than a week into the launch! So, if you want to celebrate Longines’ birthday as much as we do, you’d better be snappy…
