The Radiomir collection traces its origins to Panerai’s early work for the Italian Royal Navy, supplying highly precise military instruments. The brand invented a radium-based substance to add luminescence to its creations, and dubbed it Radiomir; when Panerai subsequently created its first line of watches, it was named after this revolutionary substance.
